An enjoyable Saturday
This morning I left home early to drive to Riseley, Bedford to visit Krieghoff dealers, Sporting Targets. It is always a pleasure to visit this extremely well run facility but doubly so today as I had arranged to meet up with reigning World FITASC Champion, Ed Solomons. Following Ed’s win in 2014, a very special K-80, to Ed’s specification, was commissioned at the Krieghoff factory in Ulm. We had arranged to meet at Sporting Targets at midday for the handover.
I had taken advantage of the visit to deliver a new K-80 Parcours, a special order by the Gunshop at Sporting Targets for a customer of theirs. It was a pleasure to meet the customer who had waited patiently for me to arrive. Whilst talking about his new gun he reminded me that I had done some stock work for him more than 15 years ago. How time does go by. Wasting no time, he took the Parcours out and I am delighted to report that he shot well with it. I wish you much more of the same Sir!
Ed’s coaching session over it was time for his first sight of the gun. Engraved by Katrin Nonn, the gun features very detailed game scenes with deep scrollwork surrounding. The underneath has the legend “World FITASC Champion 2014” inlaid in gold. Words do not do justice but the pictures below may.
